Ninja Princess

A run & gun shooter arcade game released by Sega in 1985, also known as Sega Ninja or The Ninja.

A ninja-themed run & gun shooter arcade game released by Sega in 1985, also known as Sega Ninja. It was one of the first games to feature a strong human female protagonist, in this case a kunoichi, i.e. female ninja. The game was designed by female game designer Rieko Kodama; her later role-playing game Phantasy Star also had a strong, well-written, female protagonist, Alis Landale.

It was soon ported to the MSX and Sega SG-1000 home platforms. The Sega Master System port was re-titled The Ninja and featured a male protagonist instead of a female lead.
